Royal Caribbean Cruise Covered

Terms and Conditions

Royal Caribbean’s Cruise Covered™ Protection Plan (“Cruise Covered”) is an optional cancellation fee protection add-on to your cruise booking. Cruise Covered allows you to cancel your cruise for any reason, up to five (5) days prior to your scheduled sailing date (“Cancellation Window”), and receive the value of 90% of the applicable cruise cancellation fee in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (“FCC”). FCCs are valid for three years, except where required by applicable law. Any cancellations made within the Cancellation Window will be assessed ordinary and customary cancellation fees. Cancellation fees you incur in connection with any flights, hotels, ground transfers, shore excursions, and any other vacation enhancements are not eligible for an FCC, even if purchased through us.

Cruise Covered is available on most new and existing individual bookings in select countries outside of the United States and Canada until seventy five (75) prior to your scheduled sailing date. Cruise Covered is not available for group bookings, cruise tickets sold by third parties as part of a package, or themed cruises. Additional exclusions may apply. If added, Cruise Covered is not effective until the program fee has been paid. The program fee is not automatically included as a part of your initial deposit. Program fees are due on or before your final balance due date. Cruise Covered is fully refundable within ten (10) days of purchase; provided, however, that you have paid the applicable fee, and neither sailed nor filed a claim.

FCCs are nontransferable and will be issued in the country and currency of the original booking. When cancelling a cruise booking protected by Cruise Covered, you shall be issued an FCC which corresponds to the cancellation fees incurred by each Guest. This means that each Guest may receive an FCC of a different value. In limited circumstances, we may issue an FCC to a Guest cancelling their reservation for an individual berth without cancelling the entire cruise booking (i.e., third Guest in a stateroom). In such case, the FCC will be limited to the amount of cancellation fees incurred by the cancelling Guest, without the option to adjust the FCC value.

Contact your local Royal Caribbean booking office or trusted travel advisor for additional details.

Cruise Covered is a non-insurance product administered by Royal Caribbean. Cruise Covered does not provide any additional rights other than those explained above.
